Chapter 4 Part 2 Progress - Story

Greetings from Queen Mist and Queen Dani!

We've continued to work hard to finish chapter 4 part 2 at a quick pace! At the time of our previous update, we were already nearing/at the end in several areas of work, so it appears as though we might be able to get it out very soon. Although the artwork is still a while away from completion, it's getting nearer by the day. The Royal Execution should be done within the next two weeks!

Once that is out of the way, there are a handful of CGs that must be drawn. But that is the only step that remains before the final testing stage! Which means that a new release might just be on the horizon, if we can get those few pieces done in an efficient fashion~.

Enough about that! After all, we've talked quite a bit about progress over the last few weeks—but we haven't said much of anything about the story.

So? What happens in this part?

Given that this is the second half of a chapter, we all know what the structure includes most primarily: a conference. Those who have been keeping up with Last One Standing and played the previous update are aware of what's happened. In the traditional manner, chapter 4 part 1 concluded with yet another murder. And what does murder represent for the remaining members of the Court? Another court scandal to solve!

This time, however, is unlike any other for a multitude of reasons. The first is the most pressing of all. Most cases involve only one victim, one murder that must be unraveled. But this time? There were two victims.

The second reason comes in the form of the third conference's results. In every other case, the Court has arrived at the table with some degree of comfort, knowledge that they will make it out safely. After all, trend data had supported that they were capable of succeeding. However, the last time, that confidence was sorely misplaced. They exited with more grief and pain than they'd entered with—and to make matters worse, a killer remained hidden among them.

Now they must not only conquer the struggle of solving a murder case, but overcome the sense of defeat which continues to weigh them down. The doubt holding them back from pulling the trigger, making any kind of accusation lest it should be incorrect.

On top of all of this, just like last time, they have limited evidence to work with. The killer may not have taken pains to clean up the crime scene, but they did make sure not to leave anything that might indicate their identity. So even if there are weapons and blood splatters to study, there is nothing incriminating to work with.

Kostya struggles most of all to work past these setbacks. He knows he cannot let anyone down, allow things to turn out as they did last time—but how can he prevent it?

All hope appears utterly lost. That is, until a mysterious advantage reveals itself. Until Kostya recalls a piece of evidence he'd previously dismissed, one which promises to turn the tide of not only the conference, but the competition as a whole.

What could be contained within this notebook, abandoned on the floor in front of the victims' bodies? Perhaps more importantly, who does it belong to? Could this be the pivotal item the Court has sought from the beginning?

Find out when Last One Standing: Royal Massacre chapter 4 part 2 is released to the public! This might be one of the most crucial updates yet, so you must keep an eye out for more news!
