Greetings from Queen Mist and Queen Dani!

  It's been a little bit since we released Last One Standing: Royal Massacre chapter 5 part 1. Been enjoying it? We sure hope so!

  In the month that has passed, we have begun making strides toward the next leg of the journey: chapter 5 part 2. Seeing how much progress we have made, we think it's about time we stop by with an update!

  As you might be familiar with by now, the second half of every chapter contains a conference—which means that this portion will be full of suspense, full of drama, and full of opportunity to interact as the player! We have a ton of fun and exciting minigames planned (some calling back to previous conferences and some brand new), as well as questions and quizzes to challenge your memory of recent events. Better be ready! The fate of this conference rests in your hands!

  Given that conferences are a bit more labor-intensive from both a coding standpoint and an art standpoint—what with the minigames and the Royal Execution to contend with—we have not gotten terribly far into production. However, we still aim for this part to be done within the next few months, certainly before the end of 2025!

  The most progress has come in the area of coding. As a matter of fact, all of the base coding is done, minus a few minigames and visual effects! Unfortunately, though, these missing pieces have placed testing on delay; although the investigation is complete and playable, only the first quarter or so of the conference has been reviewed.

  Progress in art has moved at a somewhat slower pace. Though we continue to work hard, there are still many CGs and other features to complete before this box will be checked off.

  As we said in our previous update, we have not been able to dedicate our full attention to Last One Standing lately; life circumstances and other obligations/projects have taken up most of our time. Though we're trying to keep up as well as we can, our pace likely won't be quite the same as it was in the earlier stages of the game!
