Greetings from Queen Mist and Queen Dani!

  A month has passed since we gave our previous Last One Standing: Royal Massacre update! At that point, we had announced that we were several weeks into the production of chapter 5 part 1, though we didn't have all that much to share. Now, however, we've made much more progress in some areas!

  In the time that has passed since the last post, the coding for the part has been completed. Minus certain visual effects, which cannot be done without the corresponding artwork, everything that is needed in this regard is out of the way.

  We have not been quite so quick in other areas; for example, we are still only a quarter of the way through testing. While this has begun, it is delayed by the need for additional artwork. In the sense of art, we have continued chipping away at it, though it is taking a bit longer. It is hard to give an estimate of how far into the process we are, as we do not maintain a count for necessary CGs. However, we do hope that we can wrap everything up efficiently!

  It does not seem as though there is any possibility of us managing a third release this year—not that we usually can. Given our current speed, chapter 5 part 1 will likely be available in spring 2025, though we'll just have to see what happens!

Story (contains spoilers)

  After all of the twists and turns encountered in the fourth conference, Kostya and the others have no idea what to make of their situation. They have now learned that three of the people they believed were their friends had actually been scheming behind their backs for weeks—and to make matters worse, they have no idea what this scheme was meant to achieve. All they know is that it must have been incredibly important, as the King took notice of their actions.

  Fortunately, all hope is not lost! Although those involved in this plan have all been killed, there is one resource that remains to answer all of the lingering questions: Mikhail and Yana's experiment log. If the surviving members of the Court can read this journal, they might just be able to understand what the duo was attempting to attain—and why the King was so disturbed by it.

  However, things do not quite go according to plan. When they go to read the journal, they make a highly disappointing discovery.

  A discovery, which is soon replaced by something different.

  How does the Court make use of their new resources (and make do without their lost ones)? Will they find themselves stuck once again, or will they instead wander down a path toward unforeseen findings?
