Chapter 3 Part 2 Progress - Story Cont.

Greetings from Queen Mist and Queen Dani!

The conclusion of Last One Standing: Royal Massacre's third chapter is progressing along in its development stage! Once again, things haven't changed much since the previous update, but we will have news soon. After all, some major art pieces are coming towards completion now, which means that the bulk of the testing and coding that remains will also be finished within the next week or two!

The one thing that will be left to cross then will be the humongous hurdle that is the Royal Execution. Once that's out of the way, it will be time for the final testing stage, but unfortunately, that's not going to be anytime soon.

However, we don't want to use this as an excuse to leave you all in the dark! We may not have much to say in terms of progress at the moment, but we can still talk about this part in more depth to give a better idea of exactly what we've been working so hard on.

The Story (continued)

Our previous devlog discusses the conference's exposition. If you missed it, we encourage you to check it out!

The ten remaining members of the Court must work together to solve the latest court scandal. However, this has been made extremely difficult by the fact that the King's Champion hasn't left much evidence behind. How can you find a killer without any clues about what they did?

Unfortunately, it is up to Kostya and the others to figure this out!

There is just one thing to help them out through all of this. No, they may not have any direct hints to tell them what happened and who is responsible, but there is one vital piece of information at their disposal. That is, they know where the victim was leading up to the crime. Which means they know who was around when it happened.

For this reason, early into the conference, the Court is split directly in half. There are five people who are confirmed to have been nearby when the murder took place, and five people who are confirmed to have been scattered about the castle, with no connection to the incident.

So what does this mean?

The five innocents must sort through the five suspects to determine who is innocent like them—and who is truly guilty.

The only way to achieve this is through a process of elimination method. Now that the suspect list has been greatly reduced, the innocents can use the minimal evidence they have regarding timing and the murder plan to clear more and more of the suspects' names.

This is much easier said than done, however!

Will they pull through in the end? Or will the stress and lack of resources be too great an obstacle to overcome?
